1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SCG Bot Services platform ("Service"), operated by Squid Consultancy Group Limited, a company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC846551) with its registered office at 8 Cecil Street, Glasgow G12 8RQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email and password). You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to update it promptly if it changes. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. API Keys & Usage

Each account is issued a unique API key. You must keep your API key confidential and must not share it with unauthorised parties. You are responsible for all API calls made with your key. We reserve the right to revoke or rotate keys at our discretion if we detect abuse or a security breach.

5. Subscription Plans & Billing

The Service offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Basic, Pro, and Enterprise). Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis through Stripe. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing cycle.

Refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis and are at our sole discretion. Downgrading or cancelling a plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Bot Limits

Each plan includes a limit on the number of AI chatbots you may create: Free (3 bots), Basic (10 bots), Pro (100 bots), Enterprise (unlimited). If you exceed your plan's bot limit, you must upgrade to continue creating bots.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Resell or redistribute API access without our written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, code, designs, and trademarks associated with the Service are the property of Squid Consultancy Group Limited. You retain ownership of the data and content you upload to the platform. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squid Consultancy Group Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a security risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
